Unlock the Value of Your STEM Research

The Erasmus+ funded STEM Valorise project investigated the latest research regarding how to best create value for society, and created a cutting-edge training program for STEM researchers.

 

On Monday, September 12, the Hincks Centre are hosting an online session to summarise the STEM Valorise project findings and provide an overview of the upcoming pilot course to measure and maximise the value derived from research. It should be of interest to all those involved in research with an interest in increasing the societal impact of their work. The event will be of particular value to STEM PhD students and post docs who can participate in the new STEM Valorisation Training. The free training will run online from October to December.

  • 11:00 –11:20: Dr Niall O'Leary - MTU Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence - Introduction to STEM Valorise, why it is important and how valorisation can be increased.
  • 11:20 - 11:30: Nina Branković - Institut Mines-Telecom Business School (France) - Defining valorisation, drivers and barriers to achieving it.
  • 11:30 - 11:40: Prof Irene Sheridan - MTU Extended Campus - Valorisation and university engagement in Ireland and MTU.
  • 11:40 - 11:50: Dr Niall O'Leary - STEM Valorise course overview.
