IN BUSINESS IN CORK EVENT

The third annual inBusiness inCork showcase took place at City Hall Friday, 14 November 2014 with the aim to deliver breakthrough opportunities for businesses and startups in the Cork region.  As one of the leading business networking showcase and conference events throughout the year the event gives potential and existing entrepreneurs in the Region a chance to meet experts from the Agri-Business, Retail, Food, Technology and Service industries.


Head of the Hincks Centre, Dr Breda Kenny, joined a panel of speakers on the day to speak about Cork Institute of Technology’s Innovation Eco-system.  Fellow panellists included; Richard Lingar Head of TEC (Technologies for Embedded Computing) Gateway, Nimbus Centre, Alex Musgrave, Dog Day Media and Tracey Ryan, BiaBeauty Skincare, Dee O'Leary, iDME and Carole O'Leary, Industrial Liaison Office.
The Cork Innovates bursary of €30,000 was won by Tracey Ryan, Founder of Bia Beauty Skincare.  Tracey studied herbal science in CIT and went on to the student entrepreneur summer programme in CIT, progressing on to the PINC programme in the Rubicon Centre.


The bursary provides a cash investment sum, as well as a suite of services from advertising, financial advice, mentoring, PR, a Vodafone communications package and Cork Chamber membership supports all to the value of €30,000.
