The Hincks Centre present at the Student Summit 2016 in Dublin

The Student Summit 2016, focused on innovation, entrepreneurship and start-up employment, took place yesterday, February 4, at the Dublin Castle. A delegation from CIT, including representation from the Hincks Centre, was there to check the latest projects that are emerging in the Irish entrepreneurial environment and attend conferences imparted by some of the most influential speakers in the country.
Starting at 4 pm, the Student Summit hosted around twenty workshops in five different stages, as well as plenty of stands were young entrepreneurs showcased their innovative ideas.
The speaker line up included names as relevant as Feilim Mac An Iomaire from Paddy Power, Tony Kelly from Depositfy, Stuart Dwyer from the American Embassy or Ronan Costello from Twitter.
The evening ended with a Student Start up Pitch competition, in which participants competed for a 1,500 € prize. The winner was Espressio, a start-up aimed to expedite the coffee business, providing their clients with pre-order and delivery possibilities.
