Hincks Centre Hosts START IN Project Meeting

Hincks Centre Hosts START IN Project Meeting

26 April, 2018

The Hincks Centre Team at Cork Institute of Technology welcomed representatives from six European countries for a transnational project meeting on April 26th and 27th.

The START IN project, co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme aims to stimulate the “social entrepreneurial mind set”, developing capacities and abilities from an early age.

The project involves the design and development of a pedagogically advanced environment for boosting social innovation and social entrepreneurial skills in young people within the education framework. This will be materialised by means of didactic materials and cutting edge ICT-based tools, through a co-creation process between educators, students and stakeholders. The project is led by a regional authority in Turkey, with partners from Spain, UK, Finland, Greece and CIT's Hincks Centre.

Target users, namely school teachers and educators, from Finland, Greece, Ireland, Spain, Turkey and United Kingdom will participate in the pilot phases of the project. This means following and completing the e-learning course during the first piloting phase.

Project partners utilised their time, face to face, to discuss the project content, offer key input across all of the work packages and plan the next steps of the project.
