From Cork to Crete

15 February, 2019

11th – 15th February - Chania

The fourth partner meeting and training workshops for the Erasmus+ START IN project were held in Chania, Crete, Greece this week. The Hincks Centre was delighted to have Trudie Murray, Lecturer from the Department of Management and Enterprise participate in the training with Helen McGuirk. Focusing on the curriculum content for the first two days, the project partners, from Poland, Turkey, Spain, Greece, UK, Finland and Ireland, presented their respective modules which will form the Level 9 (EQF Lvl 7) 15 ECTS programme on inclusive and innovative entrepreneurship education.

The second part of the week was set aside for the ICT training. The Spanish and Polish partners give a detailed presentation and practical sessions on the use of the e-learning tools which the project has developed and is now ready to pilot/trial. Trudie Murray is part of the Hincks team who will conduct this pilot with a group of Irish second level teachers later this year.

As part of the week-long training, partners, joined by 25 local Greek teachers, were treated to a fantastic presentation by our Finnish partners from JAMK University, on Entrepreneurship Education in Finland. Oh what a system!

Thank you Chara and Chryssa for their generous hospitality, in spite of the gale force wind and rain! Ευχαριστώ (efcharistó).
