The finals of this year’s APPrentice Competition took place on Friday 8th March, the last day of what was a fantastic Innovation Week here in CIT. The students and the Hincks Team set up the displays, placing prototypes along side the professionally produced posters and revealed a superb exhibition of new and valuable ideas. The Nexus Hall was also host to the Prize for Innovation Exhibition.

The event kicked off at 11:00 with the four strong panel of external judges visiting each of the stands, speaking to each of the 17 finalists and assessing both the APP ideas and the posters.

We were thrilled to receive over 100 applications from students across CIT and are very grateful to the first round judges who shortlisted the 17 finalists. The posters were designed by 2nd year Business Administration Students, with support from their lecturers Orla Cartner and Mary Oldham.
