Thank You Survey Participants!

Thank You Survey Participants!

24 April, 2019

We would like to extend our thanks to Enactus students and students from HEI’s all across the country who participated in our survey on Social Entrepreneurship. We would also like to thank CIT Faculty and Enactus Faculty Advisors who distributed the survey to many of their students and to Enactus Ireland who agreed to send out the survey to the Enactus student body in their March newsletter. We are very grateful for all of your efforts, without which we would not have been able to achieve such a high response rate to the survey. Congratulations also to the winners of the five €50 One4all gift vouchers (all winners have been contacted).

This survey is part of research being undertaken by the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence in Cork Institute of Technology (CIT) and aims to shed some light on the question; “Is Social Entrepreneurship Education a "nice-to-have" or a "must-have" with respect to developing entrepreneurial intention for socially minded students in HEI's?”

It follows on from a pilot study undertaken by the Hincks Centre in October 2018 the findings of which were presented at the Enactus World Cup in San José, California. (Click here to read the article).

Valuable comments were noted which enabled the research to progress to the next phase of the study which is the nationwide survey.

The findings of this survey will be presented to Enactus Faculty Advisors at the Enactus National Finals on the 30th May and to the delegates at the 3E conference (Enterprise & Entrepreneurship Education, EEE) in Gothenburg Sweden from May 8th-10th, 2019. We welcome these opportunities to discuss the findings with our peers who we anticipate will provide us with valuable actionable feedback. The research contributes to the emerging field of social focused entrepreneurship education and the growing interest at national and public policy level in supporting social focused entrepreneurship.
