Hincks at Cork OPC Celebration

The Hincks Centre was delighted to attend the Cork OPC (Older Peoples Council) Celebrations in the Walter Raleigh Hotel, Youghal today.

Proceedings opened with a welcome from Mr Christy Rochem, PRO, Cork Older Peoples Council followed by an address from the Deputy Mayor of Cork County Council. Speakers included Liz Maddox, OPC Chair and Fiona Hayes, Age Friendly Ireland. Catherine McGuigan, Chief Officer, Age Friendly Ireland summarised the initiatives that they are undertaking. Minister of State for Mental Health and Older People, Jim Daly also spoke and then took time to answer questions.

An afternoon of music, song and dance followed.

It was a great networking event and a lot of interest was shown in our SilverSMEs project.
