APPrentice Competition 2020
12 February, 2020
As the period for applications for the APPrentice competition has come to an end, we look back on the promotional work Haizea, our Global Training Intern, has done over the last two months.
Apart from putting up posters and handing out flyers in the Bishopstown Campus, Haizea participated in two presentations. The first was in the Rubicon Centre, “Ireland's largest Business Innovation Centre for Entrepreneurs & Start Up Companies”. She spoke about the Hincks Centre, it’s work with the School of Business and CIT’s Innovation Week, and finally promoted the competition to Carole O’Leary, Project Manager Innovation & Enterprise, and her students.
The second presentation was realized through a Power-Point slideshow with Finbarr Sheehan’s 4th year students. Finbarr is with the Department of Organisation and Professional Development. Haizea took the opportunity to explain what the competition is about (the process of application, the finals, etc.), list all the different categories and give examples of past winners. This presentation not only promoted the competition but it also sparked new ideas in students’ minds.
In addition, Haizea had contact with CIT’s Students Union to promote the competition through an ad in their monthly magazine expliCIT.
Our thanks to Carole and Finbarr for their support and to expliCIT for the ad.
Thank you also to all who entered the competition and best wishes to the finalists.
The finals of the Competition will take place March 6 in the Nexus Hall as part of CIT’s Innovation Week. All are welcome.
