Hincks Welcomes Enterprise Intern 2020

Hincks Welcomes Enterprise Intern 2020

14 September, 2020

The Hincks Centre welcomed Student Enterprise Intern, Catriona Fenton, on Monday, September 14th. We look forward to having Catriona as part of our team and we hope she enjoys her time with us. Here, she tells us a bit about herself:

My name is Catriona Fenton and I am one of the 3 Student Enterprise Interns and I am based here in the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence.

I am by no means a stranger to CIT, as I have just completed my 4-year bachelor honours degree in Marketing from the department of Marketing & International Business and loved every second of it! As part of the internship programme I am extremely lucky to further my education by studying a master’s in Digital Marketing Strategy, also here in CIT.

I have worked throughout my undergraduate degree in marketing roles for a number of different organisations across many different sectors, ranging from agriculture, to tourism, hospitality and digital marketing. I hope that any of my previous experience will help to assist me with the various and vast span of work I will encounter throughout my time with the Hincks Centre.

It is a strange time to start any new job, but any of the team I have met (predominantly by virtual means) have been extremely welcoming and have made the transition a lot easier. I look forward to working with them further to support and promote entrepreneurship.
