Second Good Practice Published

Second Good Practice Published

12 November, 2020

The Hincks Centre was delighted to receive the news last week that a Good Practice submitted for the SilverSMEs Interreg Project has been published on the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform.  Age Friendly Town Programme, a Cork County Council initiative, was the second Good Practice that was successfully published on the Interreg Europe platform.

The Age Friendly Programme supports enterprises through training programmes and informs them of Age Friendly supports and the Silver Economy. Four rural towns in Cork, (Bandon, Mitchelstown, Kinsale and Cobh), were chosen to be part of the initial pilot of this programme.

As part of the study visit to Cork in February 2020, Hincks were delighted to bring the SilverSMEs partners to Bandon to see how the enterprises in the town have benefited from this programme.
