Silver SMEs Project

Silver SMEs Project

10 December, 2020

The penultimate Stakeholder meeting for the Silver SMEs project was held on December 10, 2020.

Reporting on the status and activities of the project to date, Aisling Conway-Lenihan revealed that all 7 Good Practices (GPs) submitted by the Hincks Centre were accepted. Two of these GPs - the Courtmacsherry Community Shop and Cork County Council's Age Friendly Town Programme have been published on the Interreg Europe Policy Learning Platform.

In total, project partners submitted 72 GPs. The submitted GPs were then Peer reviewed and 18 were selected. The selection criteria is quite stringent. Not alone must a GP be of benefit to one of the Silver SMEs project's 3 target groups (Active, Dependent, Vulnerable) it must also satisfy Interreg requirements. The Hincks Centre were delighted that 5 of their 7 submitted GPs were selected.

Phase 1 of the project will be complete in May 2021, which will also see the commencement of Phase 2 - Implementation.
