Entrepreneurship, Business & Digital Course for Musicians Launches in MTU

New Skills for New Artists (NS4NA) addresses a gap in the training of musicians. The aim of this Erasmus+ KA2 funded project is to create training programmes in digital and entrepreneurial skills for new musicians and performers. This first course will focus on music, technology, digital, communications, entrepreneurial and business skills.

The course content is composed and delivered by a team of accomplished academics from the three partner institutions: Munster Technological University; Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía and Erasmushogeschool Brussel (EHB) (School of Arts Koninklijk Conservatorium) and is open to participants in Ireland, Spain and Belgium.

The course which will be delivered remotely on Thursday mornings from March 4th to June 24th, consists of three modules:

  1. Entrepreneurial and business approaches to musical idea creation, assessment, development, and management;
  2. Technology, home recording, lighting, audio-visual, streaming, and creative uses of technology and 
  3. Social media and marketing including branding, tools, and measuring effectiveness.
