This year, CIT’s Student Inc. Programme partnered with UCC and IT Tralee. In total, 30 students took part - 13 from CIT, 7 from IT Tralee and 10 from UCC.

Student Inc. is Ireland’s first student accelerator programme and has been delivered in CIT since 2011. Running from June to August, the programme is set up to encourage student entrepreneurs to develop and grow their enterprising ideas.

The students receive expert mentoring in the areas of market research, finance, business planning and much more. Each thriving entrepreneur receives €4,000 to fund their business. They also obtain a fully serviced office space in CIT located in the Rubicon Centre and one module worth of credits.

The culmination of this year's programme was the Student Inc. 2019 Showcase which was held in Pairc Ui Chaoimh on August 30th. All 30 students showcased what they had achieved over the summer.
