One team of entrepreneurship researchers taking a scientific approach to studying entrepreneurship think so.

On Monday March 15th at 9:30 am (Irish time), Professor Arnaldo Camuffo from Bocconi University, Milan, Italy will lead a free seminar sharing the insights they have gained from a randomised controlled trial of 116 start-ups. They found that start-ups performed better when they were taught a ‘scientific’ approach to making key decisions.

The training included creating hypotheses, how to test them, and how to decide if to proceed, change or abandon an idea using probability estimates. Their innovative and ground breaking work was recently featured in the Harvard Business Review https://hbr.org/2020/11/founders-apply-the-scientific-method-to-your-startup.
