“Age is just a number”, a webinar in the series of events organised by the MTU EDI Group, #EDIawareMTU took place online at 11:00 am on 26th April.

Sarah Davis, a Senior Researcher with the Hincks Centre, presented key insights into older entrepreneurial education from her Rísam sponsored PhD study Smart Ageing and Renewal through Entrepreneurial Skills.

In the esteemed company of the MTU President emeritus, Dr Barry O’Connor and Lecturer Donagh Davern the panel presented a variety of viewpoints on age and inclusivity as well as generational differences in the workforce, tapping into a broad range of viewpoints and backgrounds.

The webinar sparked a lively debate into inclusivity and age. This particular webinar links to upcoming plans by MTU to apply for Age-friendly University status. Inclusivity for retired staff members, awareness raising, intergenerational respect and tolerance were key debating points. A most enjoyable and informative session.
