An excellent line up of speakers at the mid-term conference entitled "Challenges and solutions to cope with ageing in rural Europe: the role of the Silver Economy". 

Organised by partners Euromontana, the conference welcomed Ms Dubravka Šuica, the European Commission’s Vice-President and EU Commissioner for Democracy and Demography, as special guest. 

Ms Šuica reiterated the importance of finding solutions to cope with ageing, specifically in rural areas of Europe, and highlighted the economic opportunities of the Silver Economy.

Helen from the Hincks Centre presented the results of the Composite report on the SWOT analysis.

The next stage of the project, Phase II, will implement the action plans.
