Silver Economy and Living Well in Older Age

The Hincks Centre’s Helen McGuirk and Dr Catrina Heffernan from MTU’s Department of Nursing and Healthcare Science presented their research at the international Engaging Ageing conference this evening.

The online event, hosted by DCU’s Age Friendly University Global Network, had near 150 attendees from across the world, including Canada, Brazil, Japan and Australia.

Exploring a multi-disciplinary approach to the silver economy, the paper entitled 'Living well in older age: opportunities for a sustainable silver economy' analysed 72 case studies collected and published by Interreg Europe SilverSMEs project.
