The Hincks Centre were delighted to welcome Imanol Peña Proenza, Global Training Intern to the Team today. We look forward to having Imanol as part of our Team. Here, he tells us a bit about himself:

Hi there! My name is Imanol and I am so happy to be the new Global Training Intern at the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence.

Although I was born and raised in my beloved Biscay (Basque Country, Spain), I moved to Madrid to study a Degree in Sociology at the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM).

In 2018, after graduating from my bachelor's degree, it became clear to me that I wanted to put into practice what I'd been learning during those years. This led me to participate in the European Solidarity Corps, getting involved in two different projects in Porto (Portugal).

Becoming part of this European network of solidarity and support trigged me to complete my formation with a master’s degree in the field of Development Studies. So I returned to my hometown to study Globalisation and Development at the University of the Basque Country (Hegoa Institute).

On a more personal level, in my free time I really like to read some novels, go to the cinema and go hiking. Also traveling is a must and this is a great opportunity to discover a new country while enriching my knowledge!
