WeRin Project Receives Social EU Award

WeRin Project Receives Social EU Award

11 February, 2022

We are so excited to announce that the Erasmus+ WeRin project consortium has received a Social EU award! The Hincks Centre is collaborating with the Rubicon Centre representing MTU on this gender inclusive entrepreneurship project. A further Irish partner, Momentum, located in the lovely County Leitrim, complete the Irish team on this multinational project, with other partners from Germany, the Netherlands, Croatia, Turkey, and Norway.

Social EU seeks to improve dissemination in EU projects by developing and testing innovative training approaches and methodologies on how to best use social media within European projects. This was the very first Social EU award ceremony and WeRin is one of three winners from a European wide competition which gathered nominations over two months, with three prizes awarded.

The WeRin project was acknowledged for their dissemination work on their leading Erasmus+ Project on Women Entrepreneurs in Regional Inclusive Ecosystems and received the award for Best Editorial Plan.

Social EU commented:

'Have a look at the channels of this project that are marked with a constant posting where the visual identity is clear and visible and the tone of voice and the posting style is clearly oriented to inclusion: perfectly in line with the project aims.'

WeRin were awarded alongside European flagship projects such as the EntrecompEdu consortium and CHARTER, the European Cultural Heritage Skills Alliance project. This is a great honour for the WeRin project, which is beginning the second year of a three-year project.

The WeRin project is going from strength to strength, has released its literature review, has published through conference submissions, and has provided Changemaker role model examples from diverse women entrepreneurs, with 5 regional reports due out shortly based on a large number of qualitative interviews of stakeholders across the entrepreneurial ecosystem.

The Hincks Centre is proud to contribute to a more inclusive ecosystem for women entrepreneurs and, together with the Rubicon Centre, will lead the next phase of the WeRin project in developing a community of practice aimed at improving gender inclusivity from entrepreneurship education through to the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
