Enactus Ireland’s first in-person training in two years took place, Friday the 29th of April. Rebecca Robinson, Hincks Centre Researcher and Faculty Adviser for Enactus MTU, was delighted to attend with and support the participating members of the Enactus MTU team. Students from 8 universities were very excited to attend the event where students got an understanding of the full Enactus experience and atmosphere at Chartered Accountants House in Dublin.

Laura Dennehy, Country Manager for Enactus Ireland introduced the day-long event with her colleagues, Aoife Murphy, Digital Data and Engagement Officer and Tara O’Connor, Programme Officer in Chartered Accountants House, Dublin.

The day was filled with fun and educational activities. Activities for developing skills for presenting, networking and storyboarding were enjoyed by all the students.

Laura Dennehy from Enactus Ireland, Surabhi Agarwal from KPMG and Donncha Kelly from Enterprise, delivered the skills developing sessions.

In the afternoon, the teams practiced their presentations before presenting their 4-minute pitch to a panel of judges from Enterprise. Enactus MTU were drawn in a league with Enactus UCC, Enactus UL and Enactus MU.

We are delighted to announce that Enactus MTU won their league represented by Anderson Gonçalves de Paula, a 4th year Accounting student and Alana Neenan, a 2nd year International Business & French Student. They presented on their project called FLY.

Congratulations to the 8 universities that took part. It is wonderful to see such great and positive social impacts being achieved and benefitting many communities. Keep up the great work!
