MTU Open Door Events Continue .....
12 May, 2022
Munster Technological University and the Age Friendly University Group are hosting several events aimed at retirees and older staff but open to all of the community. The events are taking place across all of the MTU Campuses and commenced on April 28th with a visit to the MTU Kerry North Campus.
MTU Cork School of Music hosted the second event on May 12th. Maggie Cusack, President, MTU, thanked all the attendees, mostly retired colleagues.
The attendees had the golden opportunity to discover one of the most outstanding architectural buildings of Cork City. They enjoyed the dazzling views from the library - located strategically on the top of the building allowing the students full natural light while studying.
After the tour of the building, attendees were treated to a music concert produced by students, featuring a soprano, two violinists and a pianist, who filled the building with beautiful melodies.
The Open Door event concluded with the serving of light refreshments and canapés sending the attendees home full of food, music and a beautiful experience!
The Open Door events will continue throughout May and into June. All current and retired staff and the local community are welcome to join.
