3E Conference 2022

Congratulations to colleagues Breda Kenny, Helen McGuirk and visiting scholar Mukesh H.V. (India) on their recent Best Paper Award for their research on the discordance between new pedagogy and old assessment practice in entrepreneurship education (EE).
Employing data collected from educators and students across Ireland in 2016 and again in 2021, the practical implications from the analysis suggest HEIs consider the unique characteristics of EE with a view to providing flexibility to ‘loosen’ general assessment frameworks to incorporate experiential and practical assessment and the need to consider different means of assessing and grading for EE.
Dr Breda Kenny, Head of the School of Business at Munster Technological University and Dr Helen McGuirk, Head of the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence, presented their work at the European Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (ECSB) 3E Conference in the city of Dijon, France last week.
