The Student Inc. programme was first launched in 2011 on MTU’s Bishopstown Campus (then CIT) to encourage student entrepreneurs to develop their business. The programme provides seed funding and access to a network of entrepreneurs, trainers, mentors and investors.

Congratulations to Ethan Morrissey on winning top prize at the Final Showcase and awards ceremony for Student Inc 2022 which was held in Cork County Hall on August 24.

The 13-week national entrepreneurship training programme is led by MTU with participants from University College Cork (UCC), University of Limerick (UL), Atlantic Technological University (ATU) and Technological University of the Shannon (TUS).

MTU’s President, Professor Maggie Cusack addressed the large audience and spoke about the value of entrepreneurship training, the hard work by all participants and the diverse business ideas, from sewerage systems to food products and medical devices.

The Hincks Centre are academic lead on the programme and developed the two accredited modules linked to the programme.

Congratulation to all the MTU students who completed the Level 7 and Level 8 modules.
