Ireland-Scotland Bilateral Network

Ireland-Scotland Bilateral Network

13 September, 2022

The Ireland - Scotland Bilateral Network grants came about following the publication of the Ireland-Scotland Joint Bilateral Review earlier this year, and with which the Royal Irish Academy and Royal Society of Edinburgh were involved.

The theme is: Revival, Resilience and Recovery: Cultural and Arts Sectors post Covid-19 and applications are welcome from the disciplines of Oceanography, Rural Development and Aquaculture this year.

The scheme, which will fund one grant in Ireland and one in Scotland to the value of £12,500 each, is focused on the following objectives:

  • To strengthen co-operation and learning between Scotland and Ireland through bilateral funding for joint projects;
  • To foster partnerships/networks within and beyond academia;
  • To encourage the initiation of new partnerships and/or the development of existing partnerships;
  • To contribute to policy discussion in Ireland and Scotland in the specified thematic area.

The scheme closes on 27th October and further details can be found at https://www.ria.ie/news/grants-and-awards/ireland-scotland-bilateral-network-grants-open-applications
