Senior ECO-Nect in Arras, France

Senior ECO-Nect in Arras, France

30 September, 2022

It was a great pleasure to travel to the city of Arras in Northern France this week to participate in a study visit and partner meeting for one of our Horizon Europe projects - Senior Eco-NECT.

With the project kick-off meeting held online in July, this was the first opportunity to meet in person and partners travelled from Ireland, Spain, Slovenia and Belgium.

The two-year project aims to connect different aspects of the silver economy with a specific focus on integrated and inclusive policy development to maximise the benefits of the silver economy for all.

During the day-long session, we heard from entrepreneurs and policy makers operating in the region’s silver ecosystem including the City Council and VirtySens (a VR tech company).

The next in person meeting and study visit is in Cork in December.

Thank you to Elodie, Caroline and Alice from Eurosante/Eurasenior for hosting us in the historic Hotel Deusy building, formerly Arras Chamber of Commerce.
