Dr Aisling ConwayLenihan, Academic Researcher with the Hincks Centre, presented a poster on behalf of her co-authors, Dr Helen McGuirk and Niamh Lenihan at the 13th OECD Rural Development Conference in Co. Cavan on the 29th of September.
The title of the research was Awareness and potential of the Silver Economy for enterprises in rural areas: a European regional level study.
The theme of the conference was building sustainable, resilient and thriving rural places. The two-day conference was organised by the Department of Rural and Community Development and attended by high ranking government ministers and officials, senior policy makers and stakeholders in the rural sector from over 30 countries. The Taoiseach, Michael Martin delivered a keynote address on day two of the conference.
