CresCine Workshop

CresCine Workshop

07 October, 2023

As part of the EU funded CresCine project, the Hincks Centre’s Niall O’Leary and Fiacre Muller led a workshop of seven film producers in Cork City on October 7th. The overall objective of CresCine is to increase international competitiveness of the film industry in small European markets.

The workshop was free of charge and focused on using a novel approach, called ‘Theory & Evidence’, to thoroughly map and visualise a film project’s key attributes, identify main uncertainties within a project and address these uncertainties effectively through collecting evidence.

Throughout the day the film producers identified the key factors for project success and left with a well thought out ‘theory of value’ for their project as well as an actionable plan to validate key aspects underpinning the project’s value.

There was great discussion and participation among the group and initial feedback on the day was very positive.

The Hincks Centre would like to thank Indie Cork for their continued support on this project, and the use of the beautiful Civic Trust House in Cork.
