Next Big Change Competition Final

Next Big Change Competition Final

31 March, 2023

CONGRATULATIONS and well done to all those who participated in the new innovation competition - The Next Big Change. The competition is run by Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence and the School of Business at Munster Technological University.

The Next Big Change aims to inspire students to support the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals by thinking of the next big idea that will improve individuals’ lives, communities, the environment, our region and / or the world!

We had 70 entries involving over 140 students from various departments including science, business, sports and engineering.

We had two rounds of anonymous judging. The first round judged all the entries to create a shortlist. For the second round, three judges selected their top Greatest Impact Ideas and Best Ideas .... NOT an easy task for any of them!

A big Thank You to the judges - they gave great attention and time to their selection.

The Next Big Change, is exactly that... a change in how we do things, how we think and how we can support others.

And the winners:

Vegetation Health Tracker - Michal Sworzeniowski

The Aisling Box - Ella O'Callaghan Griffin, Leah MacNamara and Laura Murphy
Bike Rack - Fiona Barry
