HERE-SA: Developing a network of Higher Education Reform Experts in South Africa.

In July 2023, the HERE-SA project produced a second series of HERE-SA Podcasts. Titled 'Meeting of Many Minds: Communities of Practice (CoPs)' the series set ou to  define a Community of Practice (CoP) and spoke to the four chairs of the CoPs established in the fields of Entrepreneurship Education, Work-Integrated Learning (WIL), Competence-Based Learning (CBL) and Curriculum Development for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

We are delighted to announce that the first episode, ‘Community Takes Practice’, featured Dr Helen McGuirk, Head of the Hincks Centre. Helen provided a definition of a CoP, outlined how it facilitates research and collaboration, and why a group of Beyoncé fans doesn’t have a Community of Practice (sadly).
