Women Entrepreneurs in Regional Inclusive Entrepreneurial Ecosystems - WeRin - is a forward-thinking European initiative with a team of partners who are passionate about increasing the share of female graduate entrepreneurs.

On December 14th, the WeRin Irish partners hosted a hybrid capacity-building event in the Rubicon Centre here at Munster Technological University. It was attended by entrepreneurship educators and enterprise programme managers in Ireland but also by members of the European Centre for Women and Technology - ECWT. During this event, our MTU leader, Dr Ana Cruz García, presented on the WeRin journey, starting from the literature and interviews with women entrepreneurs in Ireland to the roadmap designed by partners to teach about women and inclusivity in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. This trajectory included regional scans and findings, examples of good practice from the different WeRin ecosystems, case studies of role models, and presentations on the different principles on which WeRin is anchored:

1. 100% inclusivity.
2. Relatable role models.
3. Realistic picture of entrepreneurship.
4. Opportunity-driven entrepreneurship.
5. Inclusive support and finance.
6. Structural change in the ecosystem.

Participants were very impressed with the WeRin values and all the materials that are available on the website. 

Fruitful engagements and collaborations were made. Thank you to all those that attended.
