A very proud day for the Hincks Centre today, with the conferring of a PhD on Phaninee Naruetharadhol.

Supervised by Dr Helen McGuirk and Dr Aisling ConwayLenihan, the title of Phaninee’s thesis is: Implementing Open Innovation Practices in Thai SMES: The Mediating Roles of Green Management Practices towards the Open Eco-Innovation Mode.

Phaninee’s thesis revealed limited assessment of open innovation implementation as a factor influencing open innovation activities. Her research found that firms' open innovation practices are effectively facilitated by the valuable application of Open Innovation Implementation, and hence recommending a novel policy instrument, together with an accompanying evaluation methodology.

To this end, fostering and endorsing both Open Innovation Intermediaries and Open Eco Innovation Mode bestows a competitive edge upon small and medium enterprises engaging in open innovation endeavours, particularly within emerging markets like Thailand.

Congratulations and well done Phaninee from the Hincks Centre Team.
