From September to November 2024, the Hincks Centre, with funding from the National Forum, ran a training programme titled “Fostering Excellence in Research-Led Entrepreneurship Education.”
Designed for higher education educators teaching or interested in integrating entrepreneurship into their subject areas, the programme aimed to enhance participants’ understanding and ability to deliver research-led entrepreneurship modules.
The course covered a range of key topics, including:
- Building an inclusive entrepreneurial ecosystem
- Enhancing success rates through improved decision-making tools
- Exploring opportunities in the senior economy
- Entrepreneurship in the marine sector
- Entrepreneurship in the creative industries
- Youth entrepreneurship
Led by Dr. Ana Cruz-Garcia, the course brought together members of the Hincks Centre to share their expertise and research in these areas. We extend our sincere gratitude to all who contributed to making this programme a success, especially the participants from across the country, whose insights and discussions were both inspiring and thought-provoking.
A special thank you to Ana Rocha from the National Forum for her invaluable support in ensuring smooth logistics, as well as Roisin Garvey and Marian Murphy from MTU Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) department for their dedicated behind-the-scenes technological efforts that made these courses accessible and engaging for participants.
