Last week, Ana Cruz-Garcia, an academic researcher at the Hincks Centre, took a delightful detour from her usual focus on entrepreneurship to lead a cultural session with students from Horizons (formerly Cope Foundation) during their Advocacy workshop at MTU.

Ana shared fun insights into the Spanish language and her native culture, sparking curiosity and enthusiasm among the students. A highlight of the session was translating students’ names into Spanish—turning Emily into Emilia and Kate into Cati, much to everyone’s enjoyment.

While these students may not be launching businesses, their curiosity, energy, and positivity reflect a truly entrepreneurial spirit. Ana is already looking forward to celebrating their achievements at graduation in May.
