The MTU Research to Impact Showcase, is a dynamic event designed to highlight the cutting-edge research being conducted across its various disciplines and demonstrate its tangible impact on society, industry, and the wider community.

Rebecca Robinson from the Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence was in attendance showcasing the poster she produced for our Erasmus+ project, GET-AHED. The poster highlighted six key areas of progress from 2023-2025, namely; What's the problem we are addressing, why is it important?, working across disciplines - interdisciplinary considerations, how our research generates impact, what is our approach to solving the problem? Project team and key collaborators and results / achievements to date.

Attendees enjoyed a broad selection of presentations, hands-on demonstrations, and poster sessions covering topics such as cyber security, sustainable technologies, biomedical engineering, digital innovation, agriculture, space, and sustainable tourism, among others. The event highlighted research that is both academically rigorous and focused on addressing practical challenges, contributing to economic development, social advancement, and environmental responsibility across the Cork region and beyond.

The Research to Impact event offered a unique platform for researchers, industry partners, students, and the public to engage with the innovative projects and discoveries emerging from MTU's vibrant research ecosystem.
