The Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence is celebrating a significant milestone this week as certified LEGO® Serious Play® (LSP) facilitator, Rebecca Robinson surpassed delivery of this methodolgy to 1,000 participants.

The milestone was officially reached during a series of dynamic sessions this week at Munster Technological University (MTU), where students from business, marketing, accounting, economics and physical science dived into the brick-based problem-solving process.

What makes this achievement particularly notable is the sheer diversity of the groups Rebecca has engaged over the past three years. Proving that "play" is a serious tool for every age and industry, her sessions have spanned:

• Education: From Primary and Secondary students to Third Level cohorts.
• Professional Development: Working with MTU staff, management teams, departments and external industry leaders.
• Inclusion: Tailoring the methodology for individuals with special educational needs, ensuring every voice is heard through the medium of 3D builds.

A common misconception is that a facilitator must be a subject matter expert in the field they are facilitating. However, the magic of LEGO® Serious Play® lies in the process, not the product.

"The beauty of LSP is its flexibility," says Rebecca. "As facilitators, we don't need to be experts in the specific industry or subject matter we are working with. The expertise stays with the participants; we simply provide the framework to unlock their insights, foster camaraderie, and solve complex problems through building."

With a wealth of presentations, case studies, and a proven track record of delivering high-impact sessions, Rebecca is looking forward to the next 1,000 participants as the bricks continue to prove that hands-on thinking is the key to innovation.
