On April 15th, the Enactus MTU society marked a major milestone by hosting its first official large-scale event after its relaunch: an inspiring Coffee Morning featuring the founders of the renowned local favorite, Joe’s & Bros.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The event, held on campus, drew an impressive crowd of over 40 students and staff, signaling a strong appetite for social entrepreneurship and community-led initiatives within Munster Technological University.

From Simple Ideas to Cork Staples The highlight of the morning was an intimate guest talk from the Joe’s & Bros team. They shared the raw, unpolished story of their journey, from a single spark of an idea to becoming one of Cork’s most recognisable and expanding café brands.

Their message resonated deeply with the student audience, focusing on a core entrepreneurial truth: the "willingness to begin" outweighs the need for perfection.

The event was spearheaded by a dedicated organising committee, including Mascha Blenn, Abi Ring, Judah Arun, and Oisín Mahony. For the team, seeing the high turnout was a testament to the hard work put into the society’s relaunch and its mission to foster social impact through business.

Looking Ahead Beyond the networking and the "amazing food" provided by the guest speakers, the Coffee Morning served as a launchpad for Enactus MTU’s future.

With a successful large-scale event now under their belt, the society is looking toward a busy calendar of workshops, social enterprises, and collaborative projects in the future.

The Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence supported the students in the organisation of their event and congratulates Enactus MTU on a stellar relaunch and looks forward to the innovation this group will undoubtedly bring to the MTU community.
