MTU Announces Entrepreneurship Day Camp for Cork Secondary Students

Calling all forward-thinking teachers with students who have an interest in innovation in Cork City, Cork County, and Co. Kerry!

About MTU Enterprise Camp

This dynamic camp, held on the vibrant MTU Bishopstown Campus, offers a unique learning experience for secondary school students from 2nd to 5th year.

Teachers will bring a maximum of 15 students for this one-day Camp that will be taking place between 10am and 3pm on a choice of days in September or October. The Camp will feature interactive workshops and challenges aimed at developing key entrepreneurial skills and knowledge around the UN SDGs. Students will gain valuable insights into basic business concepts and have the opportunity to collaborate and compete with peers from schools across Cork.

Teachers are integral to this initiative and will be expected to attend for the duration of the day, providing invaluable support to their teams. This also offers a chance for teachers to network with other educators and gain insights into fostering an entrepreneurial spirit within their classrooms. MTU is delighted to provide lunch, snacks, and refreshments for all participating teachers and students.

MTU is committed to fostering innovation and supporting the development of future leaders within the region. This Entrepreneurship Camp is part of our ongoing outreach to engage with the community and inspire the next generation of entrepreneurs and global citizens.

MODE OF DELIVERY

• Multi-disciplinary teams facilitating interactive, hands on experiential learning sessions.
• The programme is FREE and is open to all students who are in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year.
• Entrepreneurial activities and learnings linked with the UN SDGs.

Mtu enterprise camp 2026

This Free Camp is specifically designed for second level students in 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th year to help them explore their potential for social enterprise, entrepreneurship and innovation. Places are limited to 15 students per school.

Camp Details

Event Dates: Schools can choose one of the following seven dates to attend:

September: 28th, 29th, 30th

October: 5th, 6th, 12th, 13th 

Location: MTU Bishopstown Campus, Cork

Eligibility: 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th-year students from Cork City, Cork County, and Co. Kerry.

Capacity: Due to limited onsite capacity, each teacher can bring a maximum of 15 students per school.
