Digital Skills Wallet - developing an ecosystem supported by a digital platform for the acquisition and assessment of digital competence.

Rebecca Robinson, Hincks Centre Researcher in Entrepreneurship travelled to Nicosia, Cyprus for the Digital Skills Wallet (DSW) kick-off meeting.

The two-day event took place 11th-12th of April and was hosted by Maria Knais, General Manager from EDITC Ltd., Lead Partner on this project.

The meeting discussed micro credentials for the 5 digital competence areas according to the DigComp Framework. This is an important first step in compiling everyone's thoughts to reach a consensus on how the platform would add optimal value and to discuss the practicalities of how it will function.

Partners contributed many good suggestions and shared their tools and examples as well as discussing the next steps and the next in-person meeting.

We are looking forward to meeting in Cork in early September for the next in-person meeting. Between now and then, online bi-lateral meetings will take place to focus on the particular work package area.
