Education & Training

The Hincks Centre is currently involved in the following education and training programmes:


  • Enterprise Camp: An annual event that takes place every summer. It is aimed at 14 to 16 year old students who spend a week exploring entrepreneurship and starting their own business as a future career.
  • Rural Femmes - an online course for rural women focusing on entrepreneurship, rural tourism, social media and marketing. The course will have the added benefit of connecting with and learning from like minded rural women throughout Ireland. Please complete the Expression of Interest Form on the Rural Femmes Project page. More information will be available and registered individuals will be advised.
  • SmARtEST: A training programme for persons of 65 years or over focusing on identification of existing entrepreneurial skills and development of an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • STEM Valorise Researcher Training - for STEM Researchers with an interest in increasing the societal impact of their work. The pilot training programme, scheduled to run from October to December 2022, was designed to measure and maximise the value derived from research.
  • Student Inc.: The Student Incubation Programme, also known as Student Inc., is a programme set up to encourage student entrepreneurs to develop their business.
  • Train the Trainer - Entrepreneurship for Creative Industries: Music educators interested in teaching entrepreneurship to their students to support their professional prospects, are invited to complete an Expression of Interest for a Train the Trainer course in Entrepreneurship for Creative Industries.
