My Business

The aim of the project MYBUSINESS (2014 - 2016, co-funded by Erasmus+) was to create and test a customised training programme tailored to older unemployed people (over 50 years of age) who were interested in becoming self-employed or entrepreneurs.

This training was based on the needs and aims of the participants to strengthen their entrepreneurial skills and competences while taking advantage of their life experience and skills.

The project was financed by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme and its main objective was to increase the managerial and entrepreneurial skills of older unemployed, giving them confidence and providing them with the tools to create their own business and to promote lifelong learning and employability.

The project was implemented by a consortium of six partners from six European countries:

  • SMRDA South Muntenia Regional Development Agency, Romania (Lead);
  • Cork Institute of Technology, Hincks Centre for Entrepreneurship Excellence, Ireland;
  • ACFI-FIAS Coordinated Association of Training and Integration, Belgium;
  • DIMITRA Education & Consulting S.A., Greece;
  • INFODEF Institute for the Promotion of Development and Training, Spain and
  • BEST Institut für berufsbezogene Weiterbildung und Personaltraining GmbH, Austria.
